Safety Center
Meeting new people should never feel risky.
Buddilio verifies every member, moderates every partner event and gives you full control over who can reach you.
Always meet in public
First meetups should be at the listed venue — a bar, cafe, club or event ground. Never a private residence.
Protect your information
Keep your address, workplace and financial details private until you genuinely trust someone.
Never send money
No Buddilio member, host or partner will ever ask you to transfer money directly. Report anyone who does.
Report anything off
One tap on any profile, event or chat sends it to our safety team. Every report is reviewed.
Tell a friend your plan
Share the event link and your expected return time with someone you trust.
Emergencies come first
Call your local emergency number first — 112 in India and the EU, 911 in the US and Canada, 999 in the UK, UAE and Singapore, 000 in Australia. Then let us know.

Safety & First Meetup Guide
Your Safety Comes First
Buddilio is designed to help people discover companions, events, activities and social experiences. While we take reasonable measures to support a safe and respectful community, no online platform can guarantee the behaviour of every member.
Use your own judgment, protect your personal information and take appropriate precautions when interacting with people you meet through Buddilio.
1. Meet in Public Places
For your first meeting with someone you have connected with through Buddilio:
Choose a public, well-lit and populated location.
Consider meeting at a café, restaurant, shopping centre, event venue or other public place.
Avoid meeting for the first time at your home, the other person's home or an isolated location.
Let a trusted friend or family member know where you are going.
Consider sharing your approximate location or meeting details with someone you trust.
If you feel uncomfortable at any point, leave the location.
2. Protect Your Personal Information
Do not share sensitive personal information with someone you have recently met.
Never share:
Passwords or login credentials
Bank account details
Credit or debit card details
UPI PINs, OTPs or authentication codes
Government identification numbers
Financial documents
Private business information
Your home address unless you are comfortable doing so
Other sensitive information that could be misused
Remember that information shared online can potentially be copied, saved or forwarded.
3. Never Send Money to Another Member
Never send money directly to another Buddilio member because they ask you to.
Be particularly cautious if someone asks you for:
Emergency financial assistance
Loans
Investment money
Cryptocurrency payments
Gift cards
Travel expenses
Medical expenses
Tickets or bookings
Deposits or advance payments
Help with a financial transaction
A member asking for money does not necessarily mean that they are who they claim to be.
If you believe someone is attempting to scam or financially exploit you, stop communicating and report the account to Buddilio.
4. Be Careful When Moving Conversations Off Buddilio
You may eventually choose to communicate through another platform, but there is no need to do so immediately.
For initial interactions, consider using Buddilio's in-platform communication features where available.
Be cautious if someone:
Immediately asks you to move to another messaging platform
Pressures you to share your phone number or personal contact details
Refuses to communicate through Buddilio
Sends suspicious links or files
Requests money or financial information
Attempts to move the conversation into secret or private channels
Never click suspicious links or download files sent by unknown members.
5. Verify Who You Are Meeting
Online profiles may not always provide a complete picture of a person.
Before meeting someone:
Review their profile carefully.
Look for inconsistencies in their information.
Be cautious of profiles with limited or suspicious information.
Consider using available verification features where provided.
Do not assume that verification guarantees someone's identity, intentions or behaviour.
Never rely solely on photographs or profile information when deciding whether to meet someone.
6. Trust Your Instincts
You do not owe anyone a meeting, conversation or continued interaction.
If something feels wrong:
You can leave. You can say no. You can end the conversation. You can block or report the person.
Do not allow someone to pressure, intimidate or manipulate you into doing something you do not want to do.
7. Respect Consent and Boundaries
Every interaction should be based on clear, voluntary and ongoing consent.
A person's decision to:
Say no
End a conversation
Leave an event
Decline physical contact
Stop communicating
Change their mind
must be respected.
Unwanted advances, harassment, intimidation, coercion or repeated contact after someone has asked you to stop are not acceptable on Buddilio.
8. Report Suspicious or Unsafe Behaviour
Report behaviour that is:
Harassing
Threatening
Fraudulent
Manipulative
Abusive
Discriminatory
Sexually inappropriate
Financially suspicious
Impersonating another person
Otherwise unsafe or prohibited under our Community Guidelines
Where reporting tools are available, use the Report feature associated with the relevant profile, message, event or interaction.
You can also contact Buddilio at:
Our team may review reports and take appropriate action, which may include warnings, restrictions, suspension or permanent removal from the platform, depending on the circumstances and severity of the conduct.
9. If You Feel Unsafe During a Meetup
If you become uncomfortable or believe that you may be in danger:
Move to a public or populated area.
Contact someone you trust.
Leave the situation if you can do so safely.
Do not confront a person if doing so could increase the risk to you.
Contact local emergency services if you are in immediate danger.
Report the incident to Buddilio when it is safe to do so.
10. Emergency Assistance
Buddilio is not an emergency service.
If you are facing an immediate threat to your safety, contact your local emergency services first.
Emergency numbers include:
India: 112
European Union: 112
United States: 911

11. Protect Your Privacy After Meeting
After meeting someone, continue to exercise caution.
Avoid sharing personal information simply because you have met in person once. You can choose when and how much information you want to disclose.
Do not share another member's:
Photographs
Messages
Contact information
Personal details
Location
Profile information
without their permission, except where disclosure is required by law or necessary for an immediate safety concern.
12. Buddilio Is Not a Guarantee of Personal Safety
Buddilio provides tools and community standards intended to support safer interactions. However, Buddilio cannot guarantee the identity, intentions, behaviour or actions of any member, event participant or third party.
Members remain responsible for exercising reasonable judgment and taking appropriate precautions.
13. Remember the Basics
